Idris Elba is preparing to lend his talents to the Masters of the Universe project for Amazon MGM Studios.

Elba is in the final stages of negotiations to portray Duncan, also known as Man-at-Arms, in the live-action adaptation of the beloved Mattel toy franchise. The film will be directed by Travis Knight, with Nicholas Galitzine starring as He-Man, alongside Camila Mendes as Teela and Alison Brie as Evil Lyn.

The Masters of the Universe film is set to be released in theaters on June 5, 2026, and is produced by Escape Artists and Mattel Films.
