LOGLINE – A period action-adventure story set in Victorian and Edwardian times. Protagonist Lund arrives in England from Denmark almost destitute going on to establish one of London’s foremost shipping lines. Wars, employer bankruptcy, ships lost and personal tragedy when his wife and children succumb to TB. His vision is to provide RITZ style comfort on long journey south from London to Australia. His flagship is launched, four years before Titanic. Questions were raised over her stability. In 1909 the ill-fated ship is lost in a ferocious storm taking 211 souls with her – 72 from Australia. Not a thing is found. An inquest raises questions. Summing up is left open. To this day the search for the missing vessel continues in the Indian Ocean – one day the vessel will be found and the mystery laid to rest – if it is, the excitement of maritime adventure could become as big a draw as Titanic. The true story is narrated by one of Lund’s surviving step-great grandsons.
