Globecast, a leading provider of managed services for the broadcast, media, and entertainment sectors, has promoted Chris Pulis to the position of Group Chief Technology Officer.
In his new role, Pulis will oversee the company’s global technology strategy and manage its portfolio of technology investments. He will also focus on driving innovation across infrastructure, engineering, operations, security, and service solutions.
“Globecast is at a pivotal point as the industry continues to move toward cloud-based, software-driven media services,” said Pulis. “In recent years, we have concentrated on making our technology more agile, secure, and scalable, while maintaining the reliability our customers expect. I look forward to working with teams across the business to further develop Globecast’s global technology strategy and help our customers with their digital transformation.”
Pulis joined Globecast in May 2020 as Chief Technology Officer for Globecast Americas. In that role, he played a significant part in shaping the technical direction of the U.S. organization, overseeing operations, engineering, IT, security, and facilities, and managing the broadcast services portfolio to support growth and innovation.
During his time with Globecast Americas, Pulis led the design, construction, and relocation of U.S. operations to a new facility in Westlake Village, California. This move marked a key step in Globecast’s transition from hardware-based broadcast operations to more flexible, virtualized, and hybrid cloud-based services.
Before joining Globecast, Pulis held senior technology and operations positions at ESPN and Deluxe Entertainment. He also holds patents in content security devices and control systems.
“Chris has played a crucial role in advancing Globecast’s technology vision over the past several years,” said Philippe Bernard, Globecast Group Chairman and CEO. “His leadership, industry expertise, and hands-on experience with complex transformation programs make him the ideal choice to guide our global technology strategy as we continue to support customers in their digital and cloud journeys.”
