Creators HQ, the UAE and Middle East’s first dedicated hub for content creators, has partnered with creator monetisation platform Alfan to launch the Social Content Fund, a $1.36 million initiative aimed at supporting creators who produce content centered on family and societal values. The fund was announced during the fourth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai, following a formal partnership agreement between the two organizations.

The three-day summit, organized by the UAE Government Media Office and held at Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future, brought together over 15,000 creators and featured more than 580 speakers with a combined digital following of 3.5 billion. The event focused on the theme “Content for Good,” highlighting the importance of positive and impactful digital content.

The Social Content Fund is designed to back creators developing projects that promote family cohesion, positive social values, and constructive dialogue. The initiative aims to nurture future generations by supporting high-quality creative productions that convey messages of compassion, unity, and shared values.

This launch aligns with the broader goals of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, which seeks to foster an integrated digital creativity ecosystem, support a sustainable knowledge economy, and empower creators worldwide to produce content with lasting social impact.

Saeed Al Eter, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Projects and Chairman of the UAE Government Media Office, stated: “The Social Content Fund embodies our vision at the 1 Billion Followers Summit to build an integrated creative ecosystem. It opens the door for talented and creative content creators to access the latest technology and specialised professional development training, empowering them to produce innovative, purposeful and impactful content that positively influences families and society.”

He added, “The Social Content Fund aims to enhance knowledge, spread awareness and build constructive dialogue around key family issues. We also seek to transform the ideas submitted by content creators into sustainable creative projects with a tangible impact.”

Through this partnership, Creators HQ and Alfan will offer creators more than just financial support. Beneficiaries will receive education and training in content creation and monetisation, access to advanced monetisation tools, and use of state-of-the-art production facilities at Creators HQ. Additional support includes collaboration opportunities with brands, assistance from social media platforms, and comprehensive relocation support for creators moving to the UAE.

As part of the program, creators will have access to alfan.io, Alfan’s monetisation platform, enabling them to launch digital shops, collaborate with brands, and build sustainable income streams. These resources, combined with the fund, are intended to help creators scale their projects and achieve long-term financial stability.

Mohamad Fattal, Founder and CEO of Alfan, commented: “We are proud of this partnership with the 1 Billion Followers Summit and Creators HQ, which reflects our commitment to supporting meaningful digital content and its active role in shaping awareness among future generations. Together, we will work to provide a nurturing environment that enables talented content creators to produce innovative, creative, and purposeful content from the UAE, content that strengthens family bonds and offers creative solutions to contemporary social challenges.”

Fattal also noted that the initiative serves as a model for supporting digital creativity by offering integrated content creation projects, training with industry experts, and access to advanced equipment and studios. This approach enables creators to turn their ideas into sustainable, scalable projects with ongoing positive impact.

Founded in 2017, Alfan has become a leading regional player in the creator economy, supporting thousands of creators and collaborating with over 100 brands. The platform’s mission is to help creators collectively generate more than $1 billion in revenue.

The Social Content Fund is expected to deliver long-term societal benefits by encouraging responsible digital culture, fostering positive discourse on social media, and strengthening creators’ skills through specialized training. By attracting and supporting both local and international talent, the initiative further establishes the UAE as a global hub for innovative digital content creation and a destination where creators can live, work, and thrive.
