The Pixel Farm has launched PFTrack 25.11.13 and 25.12.19, introducing significant advancements in lens distortion modeling and sensor data integration. The update features a new anamorphic distortion model and a smart calibration system that automatically selects the optimal lens model for any given shot. This ensures higher precision for matchmoving artists working on complex live-action and CGI integration.
In a strategic shift for its supply chain, The Pixel Farm has reintroduced perpetual licenses alongside subscription models. The latest version also integrates the Matchmove Machine ‘CamDB’ database, allowing buyers and studios to utilize extensive third-party sensor libraries. Enhancements to the Photo Mesh node have also improved performance on macOS, reducing memory overhead for large-scale photogrammetry projects.
The update provides individual artists and studio houses with a more flexible toolset, including localized motion prediction and refined parameter controls for camera solvers. This 2025 rollout solidifies PFTrack’s position as a staple in the VFX monitoring and reconstruction market. The primary updates were finalized and released between November and December 2025.
