Beeble Studio Launches SwitchLight 3.0 for High-Fidelity AI Video Relighting

Tech innovator Beeble Studio (USA) has released SwitchLight 3.0, a “video-to-PBR” AI model that allows VFX artists to relight live-action footage as if it were a 3D scene. Unlike previous iterations, this version processes multiple frames simultaneously to ensure temporal stability and minimize flicker. The software is designed for use in the post-production supply chain, enabling small and mid-sized studios to achieve high-end lighting effects without expensive on-set equipment.

The tool outputs 16-bit multi-channel EXR files, including depth maps and normals, which are compatible with major compositing platforms like Nuke and After Effects. Beeble Studio’s local processing model ensures data security for high-profile projects, catering to the needs of the “security-conscious” entertainment sector. The update also features a training dataset ten times larger than its predecessor, significantly improving the realism of skin textures and fabric weaves in 4K resolution.

The software is now available under a subscription model, with special pricing for independent creators and larger enterprise licenses for major studio houses. This technology is expected to become a staple in virtual production and indie filmmaking throughout 2026. By lowering the barrier to complex relighting, Beeble Studio positions itself as a key vendor for the next generation of AI-driven visual effects and digital cinematography. (USA)
