EbonyLife Group Launches EbonyLife ON Plus, A Global African Lifestyle Ecosystem

The EbonyLife Group today announced the global launch of EbonyLife ON Plus, a new digital platform available via the App Store and Google Play. The platform moves beyond conventional streaming by integrating entertainment, learning, fashion, and live experiences into a single digital destination, which founder Mo Abudu describes as “a complete lifestyle ecosystem.”

Mo Abudu stated, “EbonyLife ON Plus puts African stories back in African hands. We are more than a streaming platform; this is a space that celebrates every dimension of African creativity, from the stories we tell to the way we live, learn, and connect. We also feature a robust lineup of content that will engage our members monthly.”

The platform is structured around five experience pillars: Watch It, Learn It, Shop It, Win It, and Live It. Members gain access to original films and series, curated masterclasses, African fashion and art commerce, exclusive rewards, and real-life event participation.

Premier Content Lineup Announced

The launch slate is headlined by Dust to Dreams, a film directed by Idris Elba, which explores themes of love, legacy, and redemption set in Lagos. A companion documentary, Dust to Dreams: Behind the Scenes, directed by Isioma Osaje, provides insight into the film’s production process.

The platform also features a mix of original films, podcasts, and signature programmes.

  • Original Films and Series: Includes Mo Abudu-written and directed titles Her Perfect Life and Iyawo Mi, which address identity and mental health. The gripping thriller Baby Farm, which exposes human trafficking in Lagos, will be available for audiences outside the African continent. Ajosepo, a Nollywood family drama directed by Kayode Kasum, also streams exclusively on the platform following its cinema run.

  • Documentary and Podcasts: Black, Brilliant & Bold celebrates influential Black women, including Angélique Kidjo, Ayra Starr, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and Mayor Karen Bass. Podcast programming includes the return of Moments with Mo in a new format, the intergenerational dialogue show Mo & Ted (hosted by Mo Abudu and Temidayo Makanjuola), and What Women Really Think, which explores topics of love, power, and identity.

  • E-Learning: The launch includes the Mo Abudu Masterclass Series, starting with the monthly session Purpose, Passion and Vision, designed to guide members in aligning goals with meaning and impact.

Beyond Conventional Streaming

EbonyLife ON Plus is positioned as a comprehensive digital experience extending beyond video streaming. Members can engage in e-commerce to purchase curated African fashion and art, and benefit from masterclasses and e-learning books for personal and professional growth.

Additional features include ELEV8, an AI-driven tool offering over 5,000 videos focused on skill learning and culture discovery. Nigerian members receive access to a heavily discounted HMO plan, and some members are eligible for a rewards scheme redeemable at over 700 UK retail outlets. The platform offers annual membership at a discounted rate, granting full access to its features and benefits.

Mo Abudu, EbonyLife ON PlusMs. Abudu concluded, “EbonyLife ON Plus is a global destination for African excellence. It is designed to inspire, empower, and connect while ensuring the economic and cultural benefits of storytelling remain on the continent.”
