Scotland’s Blazing Griffin has acquired Brick + Mortar, a move that strengthens the post production industry in the region. The acquisition brings together two creative teams, enhances Glasgow’s reputation in film and TV finishing, and introduces new high-end facilities to support future projects.

Scotland’s Blazing Griffin, a company specializing in TV and film production, post production, and video game development, has acquired Brick + Mortar, a renowned post facility known for its top-notch editorial, grading, and VFX work on various long and short form projects.

This acquisition is a significant milestone for Scotland’s post industry, bringing together two innovative creative teams and solidifying Glasgow as a hub for high-quality film and television finishing. Brick + Mortar, established in 2024, is led by senior colorist Tom Cairns and creative director/editor Jack Lang, known for their work on international feature films and commercial projects.

Blazing Griffin, known for its evolving feature film production capabilities, has recently released three titles in 2025, including ‘California Schemin’,’ ‘Glenrothan,’ and ‘Grow.’ As part of the acquisition, Blazing Griffin is expanding its post production facilities by constructing a new flagship theatrical-grade suite at its Glasgow facility, equipped with high-end grading and finishing equipment acquired from Brick + Mortar.

This new suite will feature a 4K cinema projector, ScreenX screen, and a FilmLight Baselight grading system, making it the first dedicated DCI grade theatre in Scotland. By integrating Brick + Mortar’s equipment into its infrastructure, Blazing Griffin aims to enhance creative and technical capabilities in Scotland.

Brick + Mortar will continue to operate under its own name at its current location, Trinity Towers, MTP, with existing projects and client relationships unaffected. Once the new suite is operational at Blazing Griffin, the Brick + Mortar team will have the flexibility to work across both sites to better serve clients and projects.
