Quentin Tarantino has partnered with Fortnite to debut a previously unreleased chapter from his original Kill Bill script. The collaboration introduces The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge, an animated short that will premiere in Fortnite on November 30 at 2 p.m. ET.

Tarantino shared details about the project during a special Fortnite Now Playing event at his Vista Theater in Los Angeles. He explained that Fortnite approached him not just to license characters, but to see if he had a short piece that could fit their platform. Tarantino recalled, “They very innocently asked me, ‘Do you have something that’s, like, eight to 12 minutes long that could be good for our purposes?’”

The director found the perfect fit in a segment from his first draft of Kill Bill that was never filmed due to its intense action. Yuki’s Revenge follows Yuki, the twin sister of Gogo Yubari, as she seeks vengeance against Uma Thurman’s character, The Bride, for her sister’s death. Gogo, who served as O-Ren Ishii’s bodyguard, was killed in the original film’s action sequences.

For this new project, Tarantino directed the short and also provided the voice for the character Bill. Uma Thurman returned to play The Bride, using motion capture technology to bring the character to life. Thurman expressed her excitement about the project, noting, “This is such a new audience for the movie,” and appreciated the opportunity to work with Tarantino again.

The event at the Vista Theater included Fortnite fans, press, influencers, and industry guests. Clips from the animated short were shown, and a discussion was held with Tarantino, Thurman, and moderator Sean Fennessey. Tarantino highlighted the crossover appeal between Fortnite and Kill Bill fans, saying, “This is a lost chapter that I always wanted to see the light of day.”

The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge is powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine. In addition to its Fortnite debut, the short will be shown in theaters as part of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, a special screening that combines both volumes of the film as originally intended. This theatrical event begins on December 5 in select theaters across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
